Bespoke Glamping Kitchenette

Case Study 10 of Our Bespoke Case Study Series

Our customers have some great ideas for bespoke items that will help enhance their way of life. One such example was from a camping-connoisseur who had an idea for the perfect portable kitchenette unit to take them from camping to glamping!

We were provided with detailed drawing to ensure all their kitchenware items had the perfect made to measure spaces within the units. The item also needed to be made from a durable, lightweight material, and coated with a finish to help resist those dew filled mornings.

We took the customers drawings and requirements…

…and following some discussions and minor alternations, turned them into 3D drawings.

We were then able to provide the customer with a detailed specifications document, outlining the design, materials, finishes and fittings. This allowed them to visualise the final design in more detail and feel confident in our understanding of their vision. We also held a video call to run through the designs, providing opportunity for questions and any final adjustments.

Over the next two weeks we turned these designs into a reality using Okoume Plywood material and finished with the appropriate Osmo Polyx-Oil.

We were delighted to hear from our customer with the following, and see photos of glamping in progress:

“Christmas came early yesterday! Here’s hoping for some good weather so we can try it out properly. Thank you for bringing our ideas alive and building exactly what we wanted. Thanks too for packing everything so carefully.”
