Each ruler has both metric and imperial measurements engraved into the wood, starting at 50cm (1ft 6”) and reaches a height of 200cm (6ft 6”).  The subtle grain and soft tones of the Baltic Birch Plywood contrast beautifully with the striped alternating darker layers of the wood when carved, providing a modern and elegant finish to the plywood ruler. Whereas the pine growth chart is stained with an antique oak finish so the raw pine of the carved wood stands out for a more traditional finish.    

Both styles of the children’s growth ruler are finished with a hard wearing, toy-safe wax, providing a satin sheen finish that is safe for children and pets. Hooks are included on the back of the ruler to allow for easy fixing to the wall, along with instructions to guide you with hanging the ruler at the right height for accurate measurements of your child’s growth. To capture the details of your little ones as they grow, we recommend using a permanent marker or ball point pen to mark height and age for a lasting record which can be reflected upon in years to come.
